The State of Kansas is a Midwestern state in the central region of the United States of America, an area often referred to as the American "Heartland". It is named after the Kansas River which flows through it, which in turn was named after the Kaw tribe, who inhabited the area.
Each pencil illustrates: State Motto, State Capital, State Bird, State Flower, State Tree, Points of Interest, Chief Products, & the date admitted to the Union (or) Ratified into the Constitution.
This round-barreled, educational pencil comes with a high-quality #2/HB medium-soft, break-resistant, bonded lead. It's just right for writing and if you need to change something, use the effective eraser.
The pencil wood is from managed, renewable resource forests. It is saturated with an emulsion of wax and stain to highlight its grain and color, and to make the pencil easy to sharpen.
The pencil lead is a carefully crafted blend of clay, graphite and bonding agents. It is cured at high temperatures and then glued to the pencil to be long-lasting and break-resistant.
The finish and graphics are painted using non-toxic inks and paints, and are applied either directly to the sanded barrel, or on foil which is wrapped around the barrel.
The multicolor graphics are striking and colorful. The designers are continuously coming up with interesting variations. So, don't be surprised if the pencils you receive vary slightly from the illustration and are even better-looking!
