Eraser Kit - Eraser Plugs for Mongol & other pencils - 24/pack.

These are original replacement erasers -- called "plugs" by pencil manufacturers -- supplied exclusively to PencilThings by Mongol.

Mostly, we run out of eraser before we run out of pencil, right? We asked Mongol to continue gluing their original erasers firmly, but in such a way that they could be removed from the pencil ferrule with a firm twist/tug motion. They agreed, and all of our Mongol pencils can now have refill erasers!

Isn't this a great idea!

Hint #1: We suggest that you gently twist/tug the eraser off of your unused Mongol pencil and then replace it. This preparation makes it easier when it comes time to replace the worn eraser because, while new, you have more eraser to hold on to.

Hint #2: Some non-Mongol pencils can have their erasers replaced. We know that they work with the Palomino orange pencil with white eraser, the ForestChoice pencil, and the Helix Oxford Premium Grade pencil. While you experiment with non-Mongol pencils, and work with Mongol pencils, if you find that a firm twist/tug motion will not release the eraser, then give up! Otherwise, you are likely to break off the existing eraser mid-ferrule. We include one push-on cap eraser with each package ... just in case!

The small round plugs fit our regular Mongol #482 pencils -- plug measures approximately 1/4" (7mm), and 7/8" (12mm) in length.

The large round plugs fit our Mongol for Kids pencils -- plug measures approximately 5/8" (8.5mm), and 9/16" (14mm) in length.

The large triangular plugs fit our Mongol Trio pencils -- plug measures approximately 5/8" (8.5mm), and 9/16" (14mm) in length.
