DUX Nostalgic Double Pencil Sharpener with Tape Dispenser

Classic Double Sharpener, with a nostalgic Duroplast receptable for shavings, and integrated adhesive tape dispenser in the base.

This sharpener is made with a magnesium double hole inner sharpener attached by two screws to a Duroplast lid. The container is made of Duroplast.

Duroplast is a composite material, a close relative of bakelite. It is a resin plastic reinforced with fibers (either cotton or wool). DUX uses it for their nostalgic sharpeners because it is unique, a throw-back to days when bakelite was used extensively, and because it can be shaped in a press, imparting deep and interesting patterns.

Tape dispenser takes common 1" core, 3/4" width tape refills.

DUX magnesium alloy sharpeners have a wide opening at the end. If a lead should break, it will fall out of the sharpener, rather than stay jammed in it.

Replacement blades are available.
