American-made push-action automatic pencil, with sliding sleeve point protection.

This mechanical pencil features Autopoint's patented Grip-Tite tip. The lead is held firmly at the very tip of the pencil. It does not turn, slip, wobble, jam or spring in and out as you touch the paper. PencilThings knows of no other such unit on the market.

Standard 60mm (2-3/8") leads fit, and there is a wide variety of hardnesses and lead colors available. It comes standard with medium-soft HB #2 leads.

The sliding sleeve protects the lead from breaking under writing pressure. It also permits you to push the lead back into the cartridge.

The eraser is under the push-top.

Lead width is inscribed on the clip, but it is hard to read small letters inscribed on a chromed surface. So, Autopoint thoughtfully identifies the 0.5mm tip with one band, and the 0.7mm tip with two bands. You easily can see the two bands of the 0.7mm pencils in the accompanying picture.

Available in 0.5mm or 0.7mm lead widths, and in red, light blue, and dark plue paneled barels.
